Bambito [Geisha Washed]

The Bambito Geisha Washed, produced by the Amar Gonzales family at Bambito Estate, yields a cup of great elegance, featuring notes of green tea, jasmine, lemon, apricot, and a delicate hint of almond.

For several generations, the Amar Gonzales family has been growing coffee in the heart of the Bambito region, at an elevation of between 1,600 and 1,800 meters, on the slopes of the Baru volcano. Surrounded by two national parks, the plantation benefits from a cool climate, volcanic soils, and unique microclimates that promote the slow ripening of the coffee cherries. The Amar Gonzales family’s high standards, combined with meticulous attention to detail throughout the production process, have enabled Bambito Estate to establish itself as one of Panama’s most renowned estates and to win awards, notably at the Best of Panama competition.

Some coffees captivate with their intensity, while others captivate with their purity. The Bambito Geisha Washed clearly falls into the latter category. Showcasing the Panamanian terroir, the washed process used for our lot also perfectly highlights the Geisha’s aromatic precision. This method yields a clear and expressive cup, where the freshness of green tea and jasmine, the liveliness of lemon, and the sweetness of apricot and almond come through with great elegance and precision.
