Lost Origin [Abu x Tanat Lot 232]

This special Tanat lot is a true gem, grown at an altitude of 1,600 m in the famous Boquete region of Chiriquí.

This exceptional Geisha is the result of a unique collaboration between the meticulous work of producer José Luttrell, an iconic figure at Abu Coffee, and the cutting-edge expertise of the Lost Origin laboratory. Together, they are pushing the boundaries of coffee cultivation by combining a prestigious terroir with scientific precision.

The magic of this coffee lies in its innovative Natural process using yeast inoculation. Fermentation took place in custom-built stainless steel tanks, meticulously guided by the specific yeast strain “LOY-012.” Over the course of five days, under strict control and at an average temperature of 24 °C, this process sculpted the bean’s flavor profile with the precision of a master craftsman. The coffee then underwent a slow and rigorous 27-day drying process in chambers with strictly regulated temperature and humidity, ensuring perfect purity and stability.

On the palate, it reveals a vibrant, complex, and wonderfully tart profile: a refreshing liveliness reminiscent of lemonade and orange candy, enhanced by the vibrant richness of blood orange, all subtly enveloped by the floral elegance of dried jasmine.
