Lérida Coffee Estate
A pioneering Panamanian coffee farm for over a century.
Nestled on the lush green slopes of the Barú volcano, in the mountainous region of Boquete (Chiriquí Province), Finca Lérida is one of Panama’s most iconic farms.
Founded in the early 20th century by Toleff Bache Mönniche, a Norwegian engineer and pioneer of coffee cultivation in the country, it was the first to export Panamanian coffee to Europe as early as 1929.
For over a century, the farm has upheld an approach based on quality, innovation, and respect for the land. Coffee trees are grown there at altitudes ranging from 1,600 to over 2,000 meters, in an exceptional natural environment where rich volcanic soils and a cool, misty microclimate promote the slow and harmonious ripening of the coffee cherries.
Internationally recognized since the 2000s, Finca Lérida has consistently stood out at the Best of Panama competition, particularly thanks to its floral and elegant Geisha coffees.
Today, it remains an essential benchmark in the specialty coffee industry, combining exceptional terroir, artisanal expertise, and agronomic innovation to produce coffees of remarkable purity and finesse.
