Cafec Flower Dripper or V60

Cafec Flower Dripper Recipe – Our Daily Go-To
This is our standard recipe for all our coffees, requiring precision and mastery of the pour. Using a gooseneck kettle is essential for optimal control of the extraction. This method is also used during our quality control sessions. By adjusting the steeping times between pours, we modulate the sweetness of the coffee, allowing us to refine the balance of flavors.
What you'll need:
- Cafec Flower Dripper
- Cafec Abaca+ or Medium Roast T-90
- Kettle
- Grinder
- Scale
- Stopwatch
RECIPE #1: THE CLASSIC

Preparation
Start by placing a Filter in the dripper. We recommend using Cafec Abaca+ or Cafec Medium Roast T-90 filters for more consistent extraction. Next, rinse the Filter hot water to remove any paper residue and preheat the dripper and the Coffee Server. Place the dripper on your Coffee Server, then set the assembly on a scale. Add 12 g of ground coffee (texture similar to table salt), then start the timer.

The herbal tea
Pour 50 g of hot water (92°C) in a steady circular motion from a height of about 10 cm above the coffee grounds. This first step, known as "blooming," allows the coffee to release its gases and fully release its aromas.
Next, make successive payments:
At 30 seconds: add water up to 100 g.
At 1:00 minute: continue up to 150 g.
At 1:30 minute: finish by reaching a total of 200 g of water.
Pour the water in a controlled, even stream to avoid disrupting the extraction.

Extraction
The water should flow smoothly, without excessive pooling. The goal is to achieve a total extraction time of between 2:15 and 2:30 minutes, when the last drops begin to drip from the dripper.
💡 Adjustments:
If your coffee is too strong, try a Grind Type .
You can double the quantities to make coffee for two people while following the same brewing guidelines.
A Final Word
The flower dripper we use here is much more than just an extraction tool: it’s a true companion that embodies precision, consistency, and innovation. It helped me win the title of French Brewers Cup Champion and showcase our expertise at the highest level.
At Tanat, we see every brew as an opportunity to explore and perfect the balance of flavors. Behind every cup are hours of testing, fine-tuning, and passion, all to bring you coffee of the highest quality.
Brewing is a dialogue between water and coffee, a subtle alchemy where every detail matters. Now it’s up to you to make this recipe your own, to experiment, taste, and refine your extraction. Because in the end, the best coffee is the one you enjoy making. 🚀☕
Enjoy your tea! 👌
