The absence of a handle encourages a different grip, directly influencing flavor perception based on the cup's shape.

The Pinot cup features a distinctive, flared shape where the mouth meets the rim. Its smooth, outward-curving design allows coffee to spread across the entire tongue, enhancing aroma perception.

The matte black creates a 'blind effect' by concealing the coffee's color, thus promoting a deeper sensory immersion and a purer appreciation of the aromas, irrespective of the liquid's hue.

Conversely, the white, with its glossy glaze, highlights the coffee's color and offers a soft tactile sensation.
