This exceptional coffee is the creation of the prestigious Lamastus family and is produced at the renowned Elida Estate.

Grown specifically on the Falda plot, this sumptuous Geisha coffee undergoes the exclusive, cutting-edge “CRD Washed” processing method, which combines a classic washed process with extremely slow drying in a cold room under controlled conditions (Cold Room Drying).

This meticulous method, designed to protect the bean’s most delicate aromatic compounds from climatic variations, yields a cup of absolute purity and clarity, offering notes of immense elegance on the palate that evoke jasmine, white grapes, lemon, and cranberry.

Lamastus Family Estates: Four Generations of Excellence.

Founded in 1918 by Robert Louis Lamastus, a former soldier from Kentucky, the Elida Estate farm is located on the slopes of Volcán Barú, near Panama’s National Nature Reserve.
Today, Lamastus owns three iconic properties:
Elida Estate: one of Panama’s highest-altitude coffee farms (1,700 to 2,060 meters above sea level)
El Burro Estate, Luito Geisha Estates (and the recently established Lulo Estate) round out a portfolio cultivated on rich volcanic soils and benefiting from an optimal microclimate.

In 2024, Elida Estate won the Geisha Natural category at Best of Panama, with a lot sold at a private auction for $10,013 per kilogram, breaking the world record.
With seven wins at Best of Panama, Lamastus ranks second in the competition’s history, and with four Panama Cups, it has won the most in the competition’s history.

ELIDA

The Iconic Lamastus Farm

Located in Alto Quiel, near Boquete, on the slopes of Volcán Barú in Panama, Elida is the country’s highest-altitude farm, ranging from 1,700 to 2,060 meters, with coffee production concentrated between 1,700 and 1,950 meters.

The total area is 65 hectares, of which 35 hectares are under cultivation (mainly Geisha, Catuaí, and a small amount of Typica); the remainder is a forest reserve that is part of the Volcán Barú National Park reserve.

The coffee is grown in a primary cloud forest microclimate, benefiting from natural shade provided by the vegetation, rich volcanic soil, and high biodiversity.
