The longer the water's contact time with the coffee grounds, the more pronounced the resulting flavor profile.

This is why the Deep Dripper has a 45° angle (unlike a standard conical dripper's 60° angle), which reduces the flow rate and allows water to steep longer, thereby extracting the full range of aromas.

Thanks to its hexagonal shape, an air layer is maintained between the Filter and the dripper, allowing the coffee Grind Type to expand fully.
